Good Morning from Lake Hartwell. Yesterday I drove up, did a bunch of weed whacking to clear tent space, set up said tent, and proceeded to start drinking. I’m a little rough this week but not as bad as I feared I would be.
No big plans for the weekend other than relaxing and hashing.

51 at the house this morning. I’m sure it’s in the 40’s where you are and I’m sure it’s great camping weather.
I decided to try once again, to try and find my way over to Hines Rd. via the trail system. I wandered about, had a couple of backtracks and pissed off a lot of spiders. I had one big creek crossing, which I almost made across without a dab, but had to stop on the far side when I went deep into the sand. I noticed some movement to my right and there was a 2′ water moccasin! Nice. He was facing away from me, but I put the bike between us just the same, and he headed downstream. Note to self- check your landing area!
I did finally make it to Hines Rd. but I’m doubtful I could repeat it and was pretty sure I wasn’t coming out there when I did!
Dinner out tonight by ourselves, hunt tomorrow, dinner with a bunch of hunt folks tomorrow night, Debbie works Sunday and dinner with her work buds Sunday. Can you tell it’s the end of her birth month? Her actual birthday is Sunday.
