Knocking out a quick blog post between choring times. That’s right, it’s only 7:30am but I have already been choring, making trips to Home Depot and Lowes.

At Home Depot I purchased another trash can for making compost. I am glad that I did this now as the cans In the front of the display were adorned with stickers reading “New” and upon inspection I didn’t care for the change in design, converting from two handles to one large one, and was glad to purchase an “Old” can that matches the two I currently own.

At Lowes I picked up more cinder blocks and compost for a future bean bed.

Yesterday, serendipitously “Go for a Hike” Day (or whatever) was fun. At the last minute Bonnie and I decided to hike Kennesaw Mountain. We hiked about six miles. I was slightly overdressed, but at least my long sleeve short was wicking, so my sweat accumulation was not too great.

After the hike we hoped to sucker Barb into joining us for lunch, but alas she had just eaten. Instead Bonnie and I drove to Dry County Brewing and ate our trail snacks as we consumed beer.

It was a long day so I was glad I could catch a catnap before going to Betsy’s. Last night Betsy cooked, a lovely butternut squash soup, served with a salad and cheese toast.

I was at home, sung as a big in my flannel sheets, and asleep well before 10pm.

Happy Thursday, somehow Thanksgiving is a week away! 🤯

Hope you are happy and well.

Today will consist of chores, and hopefully I will also get out for some exercise of some sort before it gets a bit colder tomorrow.

Yesterday was a day of chores. Filled the holes where we had removed fence posts. Next was to remove the sweet gum stumps that grew up along the fence. These were recalcitrant and forced me to use my maddox, which annoyed my shoulder greatly. I worked until 6pm and was driving back on the tractor when I tried to turn on the lights- nothing. No turn signals, no flashers, nothing. More chores to do.

Undecided about today’s adventures. A ride of some sort should be in the offing.

  3. Attempt at choring, limbing trees, is a failure because the limbs are too high in the trees. Poop.

When your lunch destination isnt oen for lunch, you adapt. Country Store at Calloway Gardens will have to do.

Sorry I missed out on meeting up, decided no exercise meant I shouldn’t drink beers in the afternoon.

Nothing exciting going on, went to yoga & then a bacon taste test at 5pm today.
