2022-01-25

Essentially spent the entire day and night on the futon yesterday. Exceptions to that were preparing food, cleaning up dirty dishes, and nature breaks.

I am feeling better physically, not 100% however. Today is supposed to be decent, so I am hoping I can get outside this afternoon to do some choring. WLF 2022 isn’t going to prepare itself…

I am feeling worse mentally today since I am angry and frustrated with the ways things are currently. I feel powerless to change them, but really know that for the most part I can, if I just commit to my decisions more honestly. That’s my fancy way of saying “shut the fuck up and do it already!”.

So I will.

Have a great day. Hope you are feeling well.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 187.6 pounds (+0.2 from last week’s weigh-in); not bad, all things considered.

Don’t beat yourself up. It serves no purpose other than more frustration. Just start moving forward at whatever speed you can muster.

After my last call of the day (4PM!!!) I managed some chores. Since it is really getting cold this weekend, I put in another drain valve in the barn plumbing. Easy peasy, as I had a stub for additional water lines to the trough and other fields. I also attempted to replace the tail light socket that had melted. Noticed one day last week and ordered… incorrectly!! Not even close. Back to the drawing board.

A good 3 mile walk after all that followed by planting my ass in front of the TV. Apparently, Discovery is rerunning Mythbusters. Some of their schtick is clever and some is over the top, but mostly amusing.

In the orifice already. Visitors expected at 9. yippee.

*Hugs*. I’m still fat. But just like you are claiming, my situation could be bettered if I “Shut the fuck up and do it already!” *Eye roll*. This morning I walk to Dad’s Garage in O4W to donate blood, probably followed by a couple other errands on foot. Speaking of, I better get on with it…

I understand the way you are/were feeling. You will figure it all out when the time is right.

Hash last night had a bigger crowd than I expected, guess the sushi corndog idea was the draw? 😉
Only complaint on the trail was from cockpit who was late & out by herself, its hard to see the chalk sometimes. But – oh well, she found her way in. Note to self – need to order a box of White only chalk, as the other colors do not show up well at all in the dark.

Big fail (not by us) the Ramen place closed early. But, the Poke, Thai & Chinese were open, so everyone found some food that was to their liking. Ph’East had good outdoor heaters, so we all stayed outside. Some dude with a guitar showed up & started to play about 8:30-9 inside. Weren’t too many people there at all, maybe this is his place to practice & make a few tips if he’s lucky?

  4. Hard labor, okay, medium labor helps my mental state. I just came in from spending a few hours in WLF. I “ordered” the wood scrap pile in the far reaches, and used Wee Little Chipper to turn the pile of smaller branches into wood chips that I spread around the paths. Woot!

    Now, lunch.

Done with the contractors and now to clean up loose ends around here! Working from home has it’s advantages, but we aren’t paying enough attention to chores around the office.
