I chored hard yesterday, and it shows. Perhaps my weight this morning doesn’t reflect my laboring, but WLF certainly does. I tried hard to stay focused, not letting the presence of two squirrels, nor the damage to the farm which was caused by such critters, distract me. Yesterday I was able to construct and erect my new plastic greenhouse, more like a green shed, actually more like a green tent, in which I will start sowing seeds soon. I was also able to dig enough red clay to get my new raised garden bed in place, as close to level as my OCD will accept. There are always more chores on the farm, some of which I will attempt this afternoon.

Last night I ran the Moonlite Hash, all 3.25 miles of it. The end was Flat Iron, but I didn’t stay. For the first time in two years my decision not to stay indoors was not driven by COVID, but by the fact that the place was crowded, loud, and there was no place to sit. Pity we didn’t go to Midway, which would have been my choice, because it appeared that their “outdoor” seating was empty last night.

This morning I will be driving to John’s Creek for my first visit to Curion up there. It’s only a $40 payout, which I will probably have spent by the time I return to the ITP Estate.

I almost hit a big payout $175 for two days at Jackson Associates yesterday, but I know that I am unavailable on the two days of the survey. I know the payout for this miss, because Bonnie got into the survey; the rich keep getting richer. 😛

Tonight is my home alone. I will probably make life easy and bake a frozen pizza for dinner while I watch my shows.

Hope you are feeling well and happy.

We should have told Sani to end at the new food hall! I bet she doesn’t know about it. SMH.

Today: errands, chores and the HOA Pool Board annual meeting tonight. Oh, and more exercise because even when I barely eat and run for an hour I still gain even more weight. Ugh.

    • I thought about this too, but the Google reviews aren’t good. And, by the time I arrived the decision to end at Flat Iron had been made.

Good luck with your choring. Get out in this nice weather today. You can do it!

what is the $175 survey about? Nice!!!!

Day 5 gummie- raspberry – pretty good, not overly tart.
    1 more day & I’ll get $75!

bought a fresh breakfast pizza at Aldi, its been forever since I’ve seen one. Pretty good biscuit crust.

I actually ran/walked yesterday for about 40 minutes! After a warm up walk, 2 minutes of running and then 2 minutes of walking. I covered about 4 miles, which I thought was pretty good.

I’ve finally managed to make a haircut appointment at my usual in Midtown. Not quite a special trip, as I do have a Games meeting in Norcross tonight.

    Otherwise, a quiet day!

I got a chuckle out of the statement “I am unavailable on the two days of the survey”. You are unemployed, what do you mean you are unavailable 🙂

Tomorrow a bunch of hooligans are taking a “skip day” and heading up to Maggie Valley to go skiing. It has been at least 20 years, I hope it is like riding a bike.

  5. Good to know all Lowe’s suck, not just the one at Edgewood Retail District. The Lowe’s in John’s Creek / Suwannee was supposed to have over 1000 bricks I was seeking to by, but they were not to be found in the shelves. I called a cheaper audible, I hope it works out.

  6. Home from John’s Creek. Decided not to spend money for lunch, even though Bahn mi sandwiches from Buford Hwy sounded so delicious. Heating up some of last week’s soup instead before I start choring.

  7. Attempt at choring failed. I just couldn’t get into it today. I will have to walk soon to get my exercise.

So, Marietta Power is trimming trees out front, and they came and asked if they could take out a couple (smaller trees) that were leaning towards the power lines…….. for free! Love that price! We still have plenty out there. They have to be done by 4 (off the road so not to block any traffic), so they came & told us they may have to clean up some of it tomorrow. But they will be back to clean up anything they have to leave. I’m quite impressed with their customer service.
(and, don’t you just hate when people start a sentence with So, )
