Another decent day of WLF choring yesterday. It’s nice for the weather to be so agreeable, but I hope that the weather doesn’t warm too much too soon because I have cold weather crops in the ground and don’t want them to bolt to flowers. I planted some beet and turnip seeds in my new garden bed, and sowed a tray of greens that I put into the greenhouse.

I skipped the hash last night, opting to stay home and “relax” instead. For dinner I made a mashup casserole of fake sausage, mixed vegetables, and a box of stuffing. It’s the type of meal I’d never serve to anyone else, but I enjoy eating it.

I’m typing late this morning because I have already begun other choring. I was hoping my Home Depot online order would be available to be picked up this morning, today is the advertised date, but have yet to be notified that it is available. In my hopes I put off doing laundry in midtown until today.

Prior to starting laundry I popped into Lowe’s. My oh my the “cheap” compost I buy for WLF has increased in price. When I last purchased compost it was $2.58/bag, today it was $3.28/bag. Bummer. I need to up my home compost making game.

Other than Black Sheep on Sunday I am not 100% sure what this weekend holds.

Hope you are remaining healthy and are happy.

By the way, there’s a hasher-friendly version of Wordle called Lewdle: https://www.lewdlegame.com/

  2. Home from laundry, no Home Depot success. Had a huge piece of pumpkin bread, now relaxing for a few minutes.

Yesterday I had a headache all day, but a decent nights sleep and its gone today.

its been a week of lunch outings, Wednesday was a French cafe over near the Marietta Square, yesterday with friends at the Marietta Burger Bar, and today with a Matson co-worker. She should be entertaining, as my new job is so much better, and another person quit at Matson, so I know she is going completely insane.

Not sure what’s on the weekend schedule, Saturday is not scheduled at all, probably a walk Sunday before the hash, maybe stick around for the hash (its in Alpharetta) and then a Superbowl party at PantyWaste’s house.

I’m trying to help you up your compost game! I’ve got a full container for you. 🙂

Done with Emory. They don’t tell you if your cognition has changed over the 2 years, but I think I’m doing ok. Some of the tests are harder than others. They read a list of numbers you have to repeat back and I was doing well to 8 numbers, later you have to read the list back in reverse order and I think I only made it to 5 or 6. Lists of words, draw a complex figure from memory, clock hands positions, read A or B on a screen, then say the opposite when they appear on the screen. I told her she might hear my favorite adjective, and she did!

18 miles on the CX bike. I signed up for the border wars ride on the 26th. 30 miles of gravel in Ephesus (sp), west of Carrollton.

Off to the office for a circuit cutover starting at 8 tonight.

I would totally flunk all those tests.

Some other hashers may also be doing Border Wars, I’m pretty sure Phuc Eye is. I thought about it but I don’t like that it is a no drop ride. I will be slow enough due to my fitness level and my fat tire mountain bike and I don’t want the group waiting for me. 11 MPH average with a 10-15 MPH range they said. I can’t do that. Also, the furthest I’ve ridden on gravel is 20 miles so 35 would be a stretch particularly on a no drop ride. But it sounds like a cool ride!

    • Not sure my noggin would do so well. I’d be cursing like a sailor.

  6. Should be out playing in the dirt, but just not feeling it right now. My afternoon has opened up, so maybe then?

Watched episode 3 of TAR. Still blown away that it happened two years ago. Can’t wait to watch episode 4 tonight.
