Eyelid swelling continues to subside, but I fear that a small chalazion has also started to form in the eyelid. If this is true I will have to watch its progress and perhaps undergo the painful out-patient removal surgery again.

Busy day today, Lowe’s and Waschsalon this morning, then lunch with David. I should probably work in WLF after lunch, but it’s going to be so warm.

As you may anticipate I won’t be going to tonight’s Very Special SLUT hash even though Jackass has been quite kind to me lately, but I just can’t bring myself to go. I’m still incredibly angry and don’t want to potentially be in the same place, get depressed, and have to deal with my anger issues. The only reasons I will be going to the two Black Sheep hashes I mentioned previously are to get my BS #200 on Sunday, and to honor the commitment I made to co-hare at the end of July.

Proceedings for therapy are in the initial stages, no session has been scheduled as yet.

I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was TASER

  1. NYT Mini Crossword in 23 seconds. Guess I was wrong about yesterday being my best time.

  2. Got a late start, so skipped Lowe’s before hitting Waschsalon.

Was going to do a walkabout while doing laundry, but now the Waschsalon has a sign telling people not to leave their clothes unattended. Ugh.

  3. Lol, on Amazon searching for a new front bicycle light and stumbled on an Amazon merchant named “Weewin”. I’m tempted…

If they sell t-shirts too I am buying one today!

    • Steve says:

I bought 2 pair of blinky lights for $23 (?) from some Amazon vendor. They work well, have 3 different settings of flash and easily attach.

  4. Steve says:

A nice walk at lunch yesterday and another nice walk when I got home last night (3 miles).

I have moved to using my personal phone for my podcasts, but the app I was using wasn’t automatically downloading, so I kicked it to the curb and paid for an app ($2.99) that seems to do what I want. Now I can listen on the scooter when I need something other than Pandora. Hopefully, this is an improvement.

Looking at the last half of the Giro, it doesn’t seem like there will be any serious mountain days. Just rolling… curious.

Last night’s Wordle in 3 using LEAST because I completely forgot to switch it up. Mini in 1:05, I was doing it while watching Jeopardy. HEH.

Rode my bike to work this morning, it’s a beautiful day!

  6. David says:

Wordle in 3 with TALES. Mini in 51 seconds. No chance in hell on Heardle. Looking forward to some ITP IRL in a couple hours with Paulie.

  7. Bob says:

I hope you are able to return to hashing eventually since it used to bring you much joy. Sucks you are suffering and looking forward to BRAG so you can hopefully decompress a little.

Speaking of BRAG, I am starting to gather my crap to bring and freaking out that it is 2 weeks away and I am WAY underprepared.

    • Hahsers are the only group with whom I have always felt comfortable, until now. I never would have guessed that it would turn out this way.

      You will be fine.

Note to self: start making BRAG Lite list

  8. Barb says:

wordle in 5 – double letters confuse me – Mini in just over 2 minutes. (oh well)

    • David says:

Yeah, the double letters are definitely tricky. I’ve gotten better about not overthinking the words, which are generally more simple than I would expect. I guess my vocabulary is too large for my own good, at least at Wordle. 😉 Actually, I just realized what it is. I’ve been applying Friday/Saturday NYT crossword thinking when Monday/Tuesday level thinking is more appropriate.

  9. David says:

A perfect day for lunching outside. Thanks for the meet-up, Paulie!

    • My pleasure. Thank you for meeting me. I took the long way home, three miles on foot. Man is it hot outside! I intended to walk to Aldi for mushrooms, then changed that to Kroger on Moreland, then changed what I am making for dinner.

  10. Must. Stop. Looking. At. Stock Exchanges.

  11. Spent a handful of minutes picking vegetables to use in dinner, returned with a shirt full of sweat. Man it is hot outside.

Some of my recent transplants are suffering and dying.
