  1. NYT Mini Crossword in 46 seconds.

    Heardle fail.

  2. David says:

Wayward laptop is no longer reporting its location. Oh well.

Wordle in 4 for a change starting with LEAST. Mini in 39 seconds, no chance in hell on Heardle. I got the 90s Heardle in on second, fail on all other decades.

  3. Steve says:

Wordle in 5. Apparently, I’ve locked Debbie out of Wordle, at least when she tries it from her computer. Yesterday, it asked me if it wanted to track me across all my devices to keep score and I said yes. Unfortunately, she uses my NYT account, so… now she has to play from her phone. Sorry, honey.

Last night was “Hunt girls play bunko” while their men drink bourbon. I had planned to ride, so that went out the window. We sat around and chatted about things I may never do- race my car at Road Atlanta, buy my own plane, duck hunt in Argentina, and drive to Montana to hunt moose. I am not kidding… and these conversations weren’t “one upping” each other.

When I got to the office today, our hallway video screen had a picture of KKGB and an article about her quilting. Who knew?

I knew Kat sews, but quilt? Interesting……….

Sounds like a fun evening, and I’d have said more than once, “if you need an extra person or 2 for these adventures, Debbie & I volunteer!”

  4. Barb says:

yesterday was an interesting day –
Met up with Hash n Crash for lunch to give him his AH4 40th anniversary towel. Hard to catch up on the last 15-20 years, but we tried.

Went to a little place called Mi Rancho #2 for dinner – we were the only gringos in the place, it had rocking music like it was much later in the evening, and menu was Salvadoran/Honduran/Mexican.
Then headed to Thor: Love & Thunder for the $6 Tuesday movie night. Very entertaining, but I think they are trying to make Thor “too funny” now – some of the silly comments we not necessary.

  5. Debbie says:

Wordle in 5 starting with AISLE.

Bunco was fun. Kind of a silly game, but makes for a good mixer.

I donated platelets on Monday and watched The Gray Man on Netflix. I’ve listened to most of the series on Audible and the movie didn’t disappoint. Plenty of dry humor and lots of action – it was a good distraction from sitting still for 2 hours while they circulated my blood through the machine. Thankfully I got a really good nurse who found my veins first try – no bruising!

  6. Barb says:

just got a message from Kat – I was surprised she quilted too! Very nice quilts – I’m impressed with her Covid keep herself busy hobby.

  7. Jenka says:

The summer custody schedule is over (week on, week off) which means that we are back to regularly scheduled custody schedule. That means nothing to you all except that Tuesday night is Date Night again. We went to MaLi in Va-Hi and had a very nice dinner.

Currently watching the last season of Better Call Saul. That show just gets better every season!

Never got to Wordle yesterday. Maybe today?

    • David says:

I *love* Better Call Saul. We haven’t started the last season yet, I’m kind of procrastinating because I don’t want it to be over once and for all. But, I’ve watched Breaking Bad all the way through 3 times already, so I can always revisit Saul down the line.

We started watching The Bear on Hulu. I like it, although it is a bit intense, about a 5 star chef who takes over a roast beef sandwich shop in Chicago from his brother who died. The existing staff is looking askance…

  8. Back from a brutal Stone Mountain ride. I was killing it on the way out, and all around the park, but then cracked on the return losing a good mile/hour in the process. I guess riding the morning after riding the previous evening is harder at this age?

And now my legs are cramping…

  9. Amazon says my poly tunnel will be delivered by 10pm tomorrow, but as of now it has yet to be shipped. Me thinks Amazon is fibbing.

  10. Steve says:

Netflix has one we started watching, “Night Sky” (??) with Sissy Spacek and JK Simmons (you’ll recognize him). A Sfi-Fi sort of thriller involving portals… we’re only a couple of episodes in and it’s already kinda freaky. Several plot lines seem ready to intersect.

  11. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that after entering the park I intercepted a group ride, the actually turned in front of me slowing me down. I rode briefly with a splinter group, and then dropped. When a group passed me later I asked someone where the ride started, but got no answer. Poop

    • Steve says:

      No habla?

And this was this morning? Who does group rides on Wednesday mornings?
      Oh, wait…

      • I wanted to ask more people, including the one woman I saw, but they were much better riders than I am.

Yes, today. I saw many riders pull into the parking lot, so maybe it starts and ends there? I can find no information online.

Those of us gainfully unemployed ride on Wednesday mornings…

        • Barb says:

you can join the C4 daytime peeps – (Conyers &
Covington) – I can get the info from Eddie – who lives in Conyers. They are a fun group.

        • Steve says:

          “gainfully unemployed”… funny, not funny.

      • I was considering riding Blue Ridge again on Monday to kick off my post-hashing life, but it appears rain is in their future, so no. Go south (not so) young man? The hardship is that I want a brewery for after riding, and many breweries are closed on Mondays.
