Thinking Monday’s dumbass chomp on a petrified peanut or small stone has done something detrimental (dentrimental?), hoping it won’t cause me too much hassle before dental visit in two weeks. Maybe I should use this as an opportunity to eat a lot less?

Was looking forward to riding tonight until I realized that I can’t due to another commitment. Dangen.

September 1st! I am going to start two new ventures today:
– learning how to bake proper loaves of bread; I have purchased the book “Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast” and have checked out “Tartine Bread” from the library.
– getting my coding skills back in order to be employed in 2023

I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts; my starter today was CHURN

  1. NYT Mini Crossword in 37 seconds. Slowed because I erased a correct answer for pedantic reasons.

    Heardle fail.

Apple emoji still broken in WordPress.

  2. Strange feeling in the air this morning. I think the Indians used to call it “chill”.

  3. David says:

    Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit.

Wordle fail, just couldn’t wrap my brain around it.

Cleaned up on Heardles, main and 60s through 80s, failed beyond that.

The ADHD brain is remarkable. Ask me to get three things from the store and I might come back with one. Give me a project with hundreds of interlocking details and an insanely short time frame and I’m all over it. Being newly diagnosed this year means a lifetime of pushing ropes uphill but at least now I know and can proceed differently.

  4. Steve says:

Well, I wish I could say it was a good night, but we made the trip to the ER about 0300 for what might be nothing. Just done with the cardiac ultrasound and waiting to speak to the doc. Except for one elevated number, everything else looked good.

    More later.

    • David says:

Oh man! Better safe than sorry on getting checked out. Here’s hoping for a false alarm!

    • Barb says:

Well that’s no fun Steve – hope they figure out what’s going on.

And – on the health care front – did y’all see Wellstar AMC (the other downtown ATL hospital) is going to close in November? Allan says that is totally going to screw Grady & everyone. Hope they figure out a way to keep it open.

    • Bob says:

Hope all is well dude, never good when you go to the ER.

  5. Ack! Thinking good thoughts for you, friend.

  6. In from mowing the front lawn — on a whim! Mostly proud of myself for doing so, though I tweaked my left knee a tad, and was swarmed by mosquitoes since I failed to spray myself with repellent because I rarely get bites when mowing the lawn.

    • Looking at the prediction of rain over the weekend I am even happier that I got out there this morning. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll climb onto the roof with my leaf blower and clear the leaf guards.

  7. Steve says:

Out of the catheter lab. Two stents in addition to the one I already had. The dark was not pleased there was significant restricted flow but much better flow now. There will be diet changes – it makes me sad! But I want to be around for a little while longer to pester you people that’s my goal.

Looks like I’m spending the night just because it’s so late in the afternoon and they did quite a bit of plumbing repair so.

  8. Sitting at Taco Mac in Dunwoody, or Sandy Springs, whatever. In the area for a $30 payout. I will undoubtedly spend more money than I make today. Oh well, I needed to get out of the house, and I am knocking out some errands up here too.
