Still fighting off whatever crud I picked up in Florida. This has slowed me down, making being productive during this quiet time quite impossible.

At least there is little I can do in WLF, with the ground still being unworkable and most plants dead. When I went to stir my compost bins I discovered that they were frozen as well; I guess there is not enough mass and biological material in those trash cans to keep things warm.

I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was TRACK

Worde was cathartic today. I started with a word that describes mu feelings about a certain person, which in turn made today’s word be spot on.

Wordle in 4 starting with SATIN.

A beautiful sunrise for us this morning.

As Debbie said yesterday, we were both a bit sickly to be around people so no Boxing Day Hunt for us. Funny that they still managed to put in an appearance.

I finally have the farm sign hung. After trying several methods of hanging- not wanting to drill into the plywood- I had to drill into the plywood. Now to finish the farm name sign, get it painted and hung. Looking like a real farm.

A half hour on the trainer while I watched “Somebody Feed Phil”. An easy diversion.

    • Nice. Wish I could get proper exercise today but the body just isn’t there. In addition to cold symptoms both knees are being whiny bitches at the moment. Oh old age…

My new Christmas present watch says I got 6.8 hours of 5 star sleep. I find that interesting since I know I was coughing a bit. Still nice to know.

I’m burning 2 hours of PTO today to get under the 80 hour threshold of carry over and will be done for 2022. Maybe a ride this afternoon and see if I can kick this crap out.

I can not sleep with a watch on. My sleep number bed gives me enough data, that I rarely look at.

I don’t normally, unless I’m on the road, then I never trust hotel clocks. This watch will light up when you move a certain way, which is sort of annoying, as it’s bright. I’m adjusting.

Wordle in 5 starting with BLEAT. That was a hard one to wrap my head around.

Mickey could’ve been headed to Florida today, but I couldn’t get his paperwork together. I’m taking him to the clinic this afternoon to get him ready for travel. Florida is very persnickety about paperwork. It’s the only state I’ve traveled to that actually checks.

Oh well, I was planning on taking him down myself anyway.

Hello from La Guardia! We have had a lovely time in NYC. Flew up Christmas Day and spent the night in New Haven with my dad, my brother, and his wife and kids. Took the train to the city on Monday. We went to the NYPL, a broadway show (Moulin Rouge), and the Whitney museum to see the Edward Hopper exhibit. And ate some amaaaaaazing food. I should probably think about having a salad.

I’ve made 3 guesses on today’s Wordle and am now letting it sit.

I have to wear a watch 24/7, I have an OCD about time. I also have insomnia so I can’t have a clock in the bedroom, so I use my watch if I need to know how many hours of sleep I’m not getting. Mine’s a Fitbit so it also tracks my sleep patterns and daily steps, which I find very useful.

    Can’t wait to get home!

Mini in 23 seconds. I haven’t had the headspace for the mini but I’ve caught up. I’m still a couple of weeks behind on the regular crossword, but I’ll get caught up on that too. Too much of today’s Wordle word in my life but I’m working on it.
