Even though I started today with WEIGH I chose not to weigh myself this morning, in part because I weighed myself two days ago, and in part because I was an idiot yesterday eating far too much food.

Finished rewatching season two of Ted Lasso. I hope that Apple releases season three soon, we have been waiting patiently for a long time.

Trip to my optometrist this morning and the choring the rest of the day.

I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was WEIGH

Wordle in 3! Started with SAINT

After the M10 stone dust was delivered last week, Debbie was anxious to set up her riding ring so that’s what we did yesterday afternoon. I also removed the rear wheel from the scooter in order to have the new tire put on. I stopped last week at the local Harley dealer and asked if they could put it on. “oh no, we ONLY work on Harley’s.” Well, and the iron horse you rode in on, MF. I guess I should have stated I would pull the wheel and they would just have to change the tire… there are other shops nearby and I’ll call.

Despite the lovely weather yesterday, the only exercise was hauling fence panels.

And you know it’s bad when they postpone an NFL game due to an injury. CPR on the field is never good.

    • We weren’t blessed with much lovely weather ITP. It was cloudy most of the day, and then it started raining in the afternoon.

I met up with buddies at a place on Briarcliff/Lavista (the one closer to I-85). On my drive home many traffic lights along Briarcliff/Moreland were flashing red, and as I drove down Flat Shoals in EAV was glad to notice the APD car sitting at one of the new (and much hated) all way stops, waiting to hand out tickets.

Read about that injury. While not another direct strike against American Football, it doesn’t help its image.

During the Rose Bowl yesterday, the camera found a Utah player in the stands- complete paraplegic from a game in 2012. The announcers went on about dedication and determination and I was like.. this guy gave his wellbeing for a F’ing game, not a lot of other choices! I know life has risks, but if you can’t manage the risks to a certain degree, maybe there needs to be a change.

    Happy new year ITP fam!!

Hope you all had a great holiday and are ready to take on 2023. I’m going to get off my ass this year and actually get in better shape. I suffered through BRAG last year and don’t want to repeat that. I’m also doing a dry(ish) January again to kick off my plan. I say ish because I have a beer drinking trip to Asheville with the neighborhood dads this weekend :-), I’ll need to sober up after that.

Paulie, good on you for signing up for STU! There may be some tough moments but we will have fun regardless.

Speaking of risk, did you hear Ken Block died yesterday in a snowmobile accident? This hit me kind of hard since I have followed him for over a decade. He was a pretty amazing dude.

Good morning and happy new year! I am back to the grind today. Getting up this morning was really hard. I had a great break, actually got some sleep (not enough).

I am with you all on the need to shed some weight. I’ve been really lax since my mom died and I need to get back on it. It’s not an excuse, it was just the turning point in the year.

    Love, love, love Ted Lasso!

We are signed up for STU, we really need to ride some before it this year.

I’m feeling crummy today, so I’m trying to not work very hard. I think it’s a cold.

I think we’re all on the lose weight bandwagon. I have been less than vigilant on stuffing my pie-hole and there always seem to be snacks and cookies around during the holidays. It starts for REAL after Thursday.

  6. Back from my optometrist; all is fine. I also made a bank stop, but chose not to go to a grocery store.

Should have read the comments prior to shoving some granola in my face. Lol

Greetings, all! I felt like I was headed straight for a Wordle fail today by not having any letters in the correct positions after four tries. It felt like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. I put it down and came back and got it on my fifth try.

    Mini in 1:05.

I’ve ridden my bike three days in a row, so I should do a spin up the Beltline today to keep this newfound streak going. I’ve walked 2 of the past three days as well.

  8. Oh boy, Apple’s stock price continues to go down. This is bad news for me.

  9. Debbie says:

Wordle took me 4 starting with AISLE.

I’m officially unemployed. The meeting was a joke. The weasely leader was acting all morose and dramatic. He assured me that he did not want to diminish my dignity and I said thanks but my dignity is my own and certainly wasn’t at risk by anything that had transpired. Patronizing little rat bastard.

Glad to close that chapter and drive my own ship going forward!
