It was a good night for a ride last night. A small group of us cycled around, and although I’ve not lost the weight I have hope to, I rode fairly well.

I got into a Wordle battle this morning. I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was SHAVE.

    Wordle in 5.

I walked last night- almost 2 miles to locate the rear view mirror Debbie knocked off the tractor while doing trail maintenance. George came along and as I turned for home, he decided he had business elsewhere and took off. He came home with Debbie and Phinney later, looking fairly damp from some creek exploration.

Starting to get my act together to take off for Cali next week. After the recent rains, I’ll definitely be packing some serious rain gear, which I hopefully won’t need.

Paris-Roubaix will be shown LIVE Sunday on CNBC starting at 0900. Set your DVR’s.

    • I always remember that Paris-Roubaix is in April because I recall watching it as I laid on the floor in pain after getting into the last bicycle wreck in which I hurt a hip. This was also the wreck that kept me from riding Spring Tune Up that year.

  2. Unfortunately just found two whole robin blue eggs under the bush which has the robin’s nest. Don’t know if they fell through a hole, but clearly these eggs won’t become robins. 🙁

We went for a short ride last night – my allergies are kicking my ass, so we turned around sooner than I wanted. Hoping to get a ride in this weekend (rain, rain stay away) so I won’t totally die at STU.
Still trying to figure out what to do work wise – do I bring the laptop? Do I call in sick?

    • I could feel the humidity last night. It has been much worse this morning as I am sweating doing light chores in WLF.

For completely selfish reasons I’ll take rain for the next week if it clears up and we have nice weather for STU

  4. There is a newish bird of prey around here. It seems smaller than a hawk, but could be a hawk, if not a falcon? It swoops gracefully and very silently, low to the ground. It’s done a few flybys near(ish) me the past few weeks.

I wonder if I will ever pull out my bike again? I have not ridden it in months. Now is the sweet spot for riding to work!

I finally got a ride in today, I rode home from my mechanic’s shop. Let’s just say that things can only get better on the cycling front. Clean bill of dermatological health this morning, and next year’s appointment is booked. I’m glad my doctor schedules that far out.

Wordle in 4, I ruled out PROUD as a good starting word today. Mini in 1:04, so Barb, you have a shot. 😉

    • Well done.

I am still trying to figure out if I go straight to a dermatologist for my current issue. It’s skin related, so probably the best.

      • David says:

Yes, yes, and yes, go directly to the dermatologist, and do not waste your time with any other doctors for skin issues. If you need a name, Dr. Jamie Weisman is extremely thorough. I always feel like I won the lottery when I can get out without having anything taken off. Her office is just outside of 285 on Glenridge. Man, traffic in that area is an absolute shitshow. The stop light at the top of the exit ramp was literally letting 3 cars go at a time.

    • Barb says:

nope on the Mini – did a typo & then couldn’t find it.
Wordle was not my friend either.

Wordl in 3 starting with trash. I got in a longish ride on the silver comet yesterday. Wasn’t all that warm but very humid. Also hoping for nice weather for STU. We have a large crowd coming this year. Unfortunately the weather doesn’t look all that great for the Easter ride.
