Even with the discovery of the destruction in WLF, I had a good day of choring.

A group of us went over to Betsy’s for Bella’s final day. Tears were shed, laughs were had. It was painful, yet joyous. And afterwards I ordered some amazing chicken from Pollo Primo and Betsy and I stuffed our faces while watching “Ted Lasso”.

I laughed the other day when I saw that the Ace Hardware on Scott Boulevard is having a “4/20 Pot Sale”. Yes, I am juvenile.

I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts; my starter today was FAIRY. Had I been thinking straight this morning I could have started with JOINT. 🙂

Wordle in 6! But I got it.

I know it was a hard day yesterday. It’s never ever easy and I shed some tears for her and Bella. George might have gotten an extra hug, too.

I kept up my exercise while in Cali on the treadmill, so thought I’d go for an actual run last night. It didn’t feel half bad and it was half walking, but 2 miles is 2 miles and that’s a start. Saw where they are clear cutting and hoping they are wrapping up. A half dozen trailers are all loaded and ready to go to the mill.

Wordl in 3 starting with PLANS. Difficult times for Betsy but I’m sure she was happy to have so many friends there and thinking about her. Working all day and then heading up to Helen tomorrow for the GUTS races. Friday looks good for setting up and marking trail….but Saturday….not so much. We have an air quality alert here…hope the air is better up there. Have a good ride tonight Paulie!

Wordle in 3 starting with TRIPE. Mini in 40.

I had dinner with my daughter at Minero in Ponce City Market. It’s the first time I’ve been served a lime in the top of an IPA bottle. I passed on enhancing my Lagunitas and used the lime on my tacos instead.

  4. Need to go to Lowe’s today and buy some things for WLF.
Need to stop spending so much money.
    The conundrum continues…

  5. I’ve reached March 2020 for Alan Alda’s podcast. The next episode is with Dr Fauci on Coronavirus. This ought to be interesting…

Leigh Ann mentioned the 4/20 Pot sale on the FB.

We did a little walkabout the neighborhood last night – then got some Mexican food for dinner.

Meeting a former out of town workmate for early lunch at 11 down in Midtown, they are going to Moulin Rouge at the Fox at 1pm.
I told them since I’d guess no hotels in Midtown are all that cheap, they should stay at the Georgian Terrace for ease of location. They love the hotel. (I wasn’t sure how great it would be, as I don’t know anyone that has ever stayed there)

    • Jenka says:

Apparently after the Georgian Terrace did a bunch of renovations several years ago, it’s quite nice now. Before that? Not so much.

    • David says:

I’ve stayed at the Georgian Terrace, apparently post-renovation. It was nice. You do pay for the proximity to the Fox, but it is really great to chill before an event and then just walk across the street again afterwards instead of dealing with driving home.

I literally just heard about Pollo Primo yesterday from a friend on FB! I need to try it, it looks delicious.

Kevin is doing great, he is back to normal except extreme sinus congestion which the doc said would dissipate within a week or two.

Work is crazy this week and next. Last week of classes. Today we have two separate big donor meetings plus it’s awards day for the students. Glad I got a good night’s sleep!

  8. Debbie says:

Wordle in 3 starting with AISLE.

Things are much calmer here. Going and getting Rainy’s sister was the right call.

My PT session yesterday made my knee really unhappy. Now I’ve got a loud pop under my knee cap when I straighten the leg out. I suspect there’s an MRI in my future.

When I took a friend’s mare to the vet clinic yesterday morning, I mentioned to the vet/clinic owner that I’d be interested in a part time job in their office. I’ve got an interview tomorrow morning. It’s a big practice with 6 or 7 vets so their office is hopping. I think it would be fun.

  9. I ate way too much food for lunch and have been feeling the affects since. I am very disappointed with myself.

    • David says:

Sometimes we have to do things to remind ourselves why we don’t do said things.

    • Barb says:

We went to Mary Macs for lunch – I have never been there. Its so old school southern, not as pricy as I thought it would be for what it is. I’m not really into the southern cooking restaurant, but it was good, but I doubt I’ll go there anytime soon again. OK Cafe is closer, similar enough, so if I feel the need to eat that food, I’m set.

  10. Motherfucker! I don’t know how it happened, but I just discovered that my Wahoo Elemnt computer that I bought last year has a crack across its entire screen.
