Yesterday I kicked around the ITP Estate all day. Today I intend to do the same. With darkness and colder weather tonight I am not sure that I will be riding; I might be the definition of a “fair weather cyclist”.

Baking a breakfast casserole. I certainly won’t mind adding heat to the house by using my oven this morning.
Wordle in 5, absolutely nothing in that cursed Connections. I am either perfect on that game or down in flames, there is pretty much no middle ground.
Last night I learned Elsewhere Brewing has a comedy night once a month. It was fine, way, way too much scatological humor for my taste. A little genital humor goes a long way, and when it’s your entire set, good grief. There were maybe 10 comics, and I think 8 based their sets on their private parts. Men and women. Sheesh.
Jenka, Timothy Olyphant is pretty scarce in Daisy Jones and the Six until the 8th episode, but when he’s on, he is ON! I can tell he was loving that role.
I had to look up scatological.
This is a major pet peeve of mine, when a comedian’s entire oeuvre is about making fun of their genitals. We love to see comedians, and when that’s their only joke, over and over again, it’s just not funny. We left halfway through Amy Schumer because that was all she talked about. We went to see Michelle Wolff several years ago, if you remember she was the MC of the Correspondents Dinner about 10 years ago so she HAS to have something else to talk about. But apparently not. Ugh.
there’s a comedy night at Schoolhouse Friday night – maybe we will go & see if it’s the same humor (maybe the same people?). I haven’t seen a comedy show in forever.
There is definitely a circuit that they’re working. I’ve been following Don’t Tell Comedy on Instagram, they put on comedy shows in locations that aren’t revealed until the day of the show (apart from which neighborhood). The guy that heads it up was one of the comedians last night, and based upon his set I will be unfollowing Don’t Tell Comedy. Taylor Tomlinson has absolutely raised the bar on stand-up comedy for me (she has 2 Netflix specials and a lot of content on YouTube). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gitn3162-lk
Have watched some of Taylor Tomlinson’s routines as well as a couple of interviews on YouTube. She is very well seasoned for a younger comedian.
I can’t believe Amy Schumer of all people wouldn’t have something better to talk about. The headliner last night was bitching about having had to drive to Blairsville to do a show, but then she demonstrated exactly why she’s having to drive to Blairsville to do a show. May the circle be unbroken…
Never been a fan of Amy Schumer’s comedy.
I mean, I was already going to watch the show at some point, but now that I know Timothy Olyphant is in it, GAME ON! 🙂
Be patient, he shows up a couple of times early on and then not for a few episodes. He’s definitely a slow burn in this series.
I like edgy humor, but there has to be more than one topic involved. Scatological just seems too easy to me, but these are comics performing at a brewery…

Late start today. Just couldn’t get moving. Wordle in 4 starting with PAUSE. I am not sure how you got Yellow first. It was last for me. Blue-Green-Purple-Yellow. One mistake. Ran with the Run Smyrna group last night from Stout Brothers. It was an ON and Weststride event. ON provided shoes to wear and the pizza. West Stride gave away prizes and bought my BEER! :). GUTS run tonight. Probably painting today. I should probably work outside since it’s such a nice day. I may walk over and pick up my eggs from Barb later today.
When I play Connections I scan the entire board, looking for groupings. Sometimes certain ones pop out, and sometimes it happens so quickly that I am afraid I am missing something so I save it for later. This morning I couldn’t find a red herring for the yellow, so I went for it.
I only got green in Connections, and the title of that category is how I did on the puzzle.
We watched three more episodes of OMITB yesterday, and we have three more to go. There are some very silly aspects of this season, but I’m still watching.
Finn’s mother is traveling the rest of the month so we have him until the first weekend in November. Luckily, our new nanny is a goddamned rockstar.
I waned a bit on this season of OMITB, but overall still think it’s a good show. The cameos/guest stars are making the show for me this season.

I’ve been watching Atypical – and like Debbie said – its a very good show. I have 1 or 2 episodes left, and I’m very sad its over. I don’t know much about writing, but I think its well written, some of the lines spoken are so perfect.

Decided to go outside after lunch. This may also seal the deal for my not riding tonight because if I am being productive getting shit done around the house I will not want to interrupt that.

Last nights festivities was tearing down a fence and loading it in to my truck. This morning I got to drive around and find a landfill. Fun morning.
We also looked in some of the closets in my dad’s house and holy crap we have a lot of work to do. I’m going to talk to them tonight to see if we can get a roll off dumpster to get rid of stuff.
Still struggling getting step mom on board as she keeps waffling but we will get there one way or another.
I’m sure by the end of the week I will be tired of trying to balance actual work and house work and just take a day or 2 off.

One of the tactics we used with my in-laws when they waffled is to act like it’s already a done deal. Like, consult with them on decisions but in a very matter of fact way as though moving were inevitable. “We have to figure out where this goes before you move,” type of thing.

Quick interruption in my choring due to two “new” (never used) cans of Great Stuff not being great. Both cans apparently were very old, and it appeared that the making was gone. I had to make a quick run up to Ace Hardware to buy a new can. Project done (for now), but it’s put me behind schedule.
