Not a whole lot for me to discuss today. As I mentioned, I made my way back to Sandy Springs yesterday. Thankfully I know all the routes to get there and back because the was a ton of red on the interstate traffic maps when I traveled in each direction.

I spent all of the $45 I made (in five minutes) yesterday on lunch and beer. I’ll spend $10 of the other $150 I earned for the two-day survey on a new watch band for my Apple Watch. I unfortunately had to destroy the old one in order to swap watch bands yesterday. Because I wear my watch while farming and exercise a lot of gunk had clogged the channels in which the band slides, and it was fairly well cemented in. I had to use pliers to extract the broken pieces of the bad, and then give the channels a thorough cleaning.

The only slated activities for me today are to pick up the honey I ordered, and figure out what I making for dinner with Betsy tonight.

Wordle: four, my starter was SHART (it sure was)
Connections: perfect, Yellow > Green > Blue > Purple

Wordle in 3 for a change, no misses on connections.

Last week I figured how to incorporate ChatGTP into Excel in such a way that I don’t have to copy and paste the prompt into ChatGPT itself, I’m accomplishing this with a formula. I’m giving it an opening sentence fragment and then a list of PowerPoint slide titles and it gives me back a very serviceable description of what I’ll teach in that webinar. I’ve been copying that over to a Word document but as I write this I realize that i can link that up too.

Wordle in 4 after having 3 letters in the right place with my starter! Good connections.

I’m barely here, as I didn’t leave the board (bored) meeting until 10:15 which put me home at 11:25! In the office by 6:45… had I planned better, I suppose I could have phoned it in.

We almost made our 10k number of attendees this year. By the time you count the participants, we were over the top. A former VP used to toss out the 10k number and it has always been “marketing speak” but now we really can say it.

I also notified the board that this would be my last year as VP. I tried to move away from the position pre-covid, but the president convinced me to stay around as no one was ready to step up. I’m still not sure anyone is ready, but if he ever wants to step away, he better start working on a replacement. I told them from the start I had no interest in being completely in charge.

Wordle in 4 starting with VOICE. No mistakes in Connections but that purple group was just dumb. Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple.

Not much to report today either. Fun Holiday run with GUTS. Found the streets with the most lights.

Work holiday party tonight. As Christmas cards are rolling in I am reminded I need to get going on mine!

  4. Trying to decide if I can walk to get my honey. The house is 1.1 miles from the ITP Estate. Were it a wee little bit warmer, and if my feet didn’t hurt, there would be no question that I’d run this errand on foot.

  5. Debbie says:

Wordle in 3 starting with GREAT. Almost a deuce with one letter off. One mistake in Connections – blue, green, yellow, purple. And I agree, purple was dumb.

Off to Florida in a few minutes. I’m delivering a horse back to its owner near Tallahassee and then looking at a horse near Tampa tomorrow morning. He looks like a solid dude and I hope it’s a fit. I’ve been very bummed not having my own horse to ride.

It’s going to be a lot of driving which is not my fave, but I definitely think it will be more enjoyable in the new truck.

Well – I’m in Iowa – just woke mom up to take per Parkinson’s pill – she takes 3 a day & they have to be spaced out. But – it works – she gets her bathroom break this way & will go back to bed.

Airport was too easy last night – even with stopping for dinner & all the traffic, Allan dropped me off around 7:30 for my 0900pm flight. got thru everything, dropping my checked bag, TSA & the bag scanner in less than 10 minutes, and most of that was walking. Got my free 2500 FF miles in CR, as it took more than 20 minutes for my bag to come out. Got to the house at 1045, mom & dad were in bed, but of course mom heard us so she got back up.

Kia Sportage is my rental car – its a SUV of some sort – I’ll figure it all out later.

    • Jenka says:

Kia Sportage is a decent car, you shouldn’t have any problems with it. But I’ll be interested to hear what you think!

  7. You know what irritates me, okay one of the many things that irritate me, is a company that doesn’t give you an upfront price without providing personal contact information. In this instance I was curious to see how much mattress disposal would be, since not many places take mattress donations. To me this seems to be easy for a website to have the price given a certain size, but no, they want to quote me a price after I give them my details. Not. Going. To. Happen!

The elevator is working! The elevator is working! Thank the sweet merciful sunflower!

We went to Ocean Wave, formerly Harry & Sons, last night. I got a roll (spider roll) that was so wide I could barely fit it into my mouth. Why does it have to be as wide as a wagon wheel?

These days when Finn isn’t around we’re working our way through It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Currently at the end of season 3. I’ve seen it before but this is the first time for Kevin.

  9. Jenka says:

    Wordle in 3 using STEAL.

Perfect on Connections: green > yellow > purple > blue.

  10. Journey to pick up honey on foot complete! It wound up being a lovely (excepting foot problems) 2.4 mile walk.

As inexplicable, I just ate two tomato sandwiches for lunch using a WLF that I ripened in the house. They were delicious.

    • Still undecided what food I want for dinner tonight.

      • Barb says:

I need to figure out something for dinner tonight too.

there is a bag of broccoli cheese soup mix in the cabinet, I could doctor that up some. Connie cooked up some chicken that’s in the freezer from the last time she was here, I could thaw that.

      • Barb says:

so Paulie – what did you decide on for dinner?

I’m making a chicken broccoli casserole – Aldi had no egg noodles – so I’m making it with tortellini

  11. Barb says:

    average day on games
    Wordle – 4
Connections – 1 miss – my brain wanted to figure out wrong ways

  12. Bob says:

Wordle in 4 with a wild ass guess, got connections too with some good guesses. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good 🙂

This has been a crazy week, fundraiser Monday, work dinner last night, meeting with old work friends tonight, ramble tomorrow. Looking forward to the weekend.

Signed up for BRAG and STU so now I get to watch Sally yell at the rest of the team to sign up 🙂

    • Sally says:

I am being kind this year. hahaha Stan has signed up for both too. I have something going on every night this week too. Will be glad for the week-end although Sunday’s weather looks like crap.

    • You know it’s a crazy week if I am doing some that earns money, even if it is only $200.

I will sign up for BRAG this week, before I can get voted off Chattahooligan Island. 🙂

      • Barb says:

I’ll get signed up before the end of the year for STU – probably when get I get back from Iowa, I usually do that stuff my computer, not my . I do have my Ipad. We will see.

  13. Went to Kroger and bought some real meat. Making red beans and rice (from a box) and will serve it with salad.
