Still struggling today physically, but a Wordle deuce helps my mental state.

Yesterday I walked four miles with my buddy Hank. We started at Medlock Park and wound our way around Emory before heading back. Of course we then ruined all of the exercise by stopping into Melton’s App & Tap.

This morning’s blog has been delayed by the liberation of six yard waste bags from a neighbor’s curb. While not exactly “heavy” each of my three trips added to my exhaustion. I know I am not 100% healthy again today, but I’m started to feel feeble. Even at 58.5 years old I’m too young to feel this way!

Not sure what I am doing today. Tomorrow night I will be attending “A Christmas Carol” at Shakespeare Tavern. The rest of my weekend will be dedicated to my Dlorida journey.

Wordle: two, my starter was REACH
Connections: one mistake, Green > Blue > Yellow > Purple

Kudos on Wordle in 2. Took me 4. Due to a specific childhood deprivation I laughed out loud when I had 4 letters in 3 and still couldn’t see the damn word.

Lucas and I walked from Grant Park to the EAV Grant Central. Thanks to repeatedly shitty service over the years I am diametrically opposed to the Grant Central that lies diametrically across the park from me. Rachel has hooked me on the salted caramel cookie at Insomnia Cookies, and then I doubled-down at Morelli’s on the way back. Go big or go home!

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. I broke my lengthy Facebook/Instagram hiatus by posting a picture of some holiday inflatables gone wrong. You are truly a mean one, Mr. Grinch.

Canton Street awaits tonight. Thank you again Bob for the parking suggestion. I have the lay of the land.

    • My second guess was a natural given the information provided after REACH. There were other possibilities, but I was simply seeking information and was lucky that it was the solution.

A lot of people don’t like Grant Central East, but I am not one of those.

      Enjoy your evening.

Fellini’s mops the floor with Grant Central East in every way but I still like going there from time to time. They had shit beer choices last night. I was enamored with Sweetwater 420 when it was released years ago, but now it’s a least objectional option.

However, they were killing it last night on the music. I Shazamed songs I knew but couldn’t place by the Yardbirds and the Blue Magoos. I knew the T. Rex song, and they actually played a CCR song I liked. Then they threw Raspberry Beret in the mix. That’s exactly the kind of playlist that I’m known for. Minty diagnosed me with ADHD more than 20 years ago by dubbing me ADD DJ, but I was too fucking stubborn to get checked out. Goddamn, if I knew then what I know now. Oh well! All in good time.

Since David is going to Roswell, I decided we’d have a Screw U Covid walkabout Saturday morning – starting at Roswell City Hall. Anyone interested – we will start at 1030.
Might be urban & see what’s going on up Canton Street – might be not urban, and go over to Vickery Creek area. Who knows?

  2. Sally says:

Wordle in 3 starting with BOAST. One mistake in Connections. Green, purple, blue, yellow.

Hope David has a good time OTP! Barb, Steph, JoAnna and I are going out tonight. Somewhere on the square. It will probably be a zoo. I am hoping to get off work early enough that I can hitch a ride with Barb.

  3. Wish I felt better again. Going to walk up to Joe’s and get some coffee. When I return home I might try to see if I can sleep for a while. So disappointing after feeling so good earlier in the week.

    • Barb says:

I think everyone is dragging around this week. I feel ok, but not 100%.
Davey & I were also discussing seeing more people wearing masks.
I think its that time of year for the germs to be out & about.

  4. Sally says:

You can now discuss Survivor. I watched the remaining shows last night.

  5. Barb says:

ok – everyone die of shock – I think I may bake some cookies today.
    (I really don’t bake)
Once I get my morning work all caught up, its going to be slow the rest of the day.
I have chocolate stars – so I need to bake the cookies.

  6. Barb says:

    Blue – yellow – green – purple.
(no mistakes – that was surprising)

    Wordle in 4 – I did not get Paulie’s lucky 2nd guess.

  7. Jenka says:

Good morning from home this morning! I’m so happy to be on vacation.

Tile guys are here working on the bathroom. Yesterday they tiled the floor, today they start on the walls. Looks like the stove and downdraft vent delivery that was supposed to happen today is delayed until next week.

    • Still think this is a once in a lifetime renovation, and hopefully for you it continues to be so.

      • Jenka says:

It’s so minor. One bathroom gutted and new countertops in the kitchen. But it’ll make our daily lives happier.

Now that we know our contractor I am going to hire him to do Finn’s bathroom next year. It just needs tile up the walls and I can pick that out.

  8. Steve says:

Wordle in 4. Tried to guess Paulies deuce and failed.

Debbie is home with a potential horse on the list. He had one unrevealed issue that may be a show stopper. And the tall one is still in the running. Who knows.

Sitting at the cardiologist for the regular check up. Lots of old people- WTF?

  9. David says:

Epic massage day today. It’s always good, but dang, some days are truly better than others.

  10. Back from a walk for coffee and helping Betsy moved a few things in her house. I worked up a sweat in the process. Now I am going to rest a bit prior to showering (finally).

  11. Bob says:

Wordle in 3 starting with REACT, I use that word to start way too often. Seriously lucky guesses on connections to get it with no mistakes.

Super fun last night, all the kids yelling out to Santa made it special. Jim must have posed for at least 2 dozen photos. Good times were had by all.

  12. Barb says:

Cookies are done – lunch with the in-laws – done.
Most of my work (that I get paid for) is done.
    I’m feeling very productive today.
