Great picture! Wordle in 3, I flamed out on Connections in the same manner after two. My knowledge of one of the categories was too thin, and I am fine with that. I got one word on Strands and decided I didn’t want to burn up time staring at gobbledygook.

I saw my first glimmers of walking normally again last night. I’ve been hobbling around for a couple of weeks now. Today is finally a massage day, Jenn has been away for a month and it doesn’t feel coincidental that my body fell off a cliff during that period. Nonetheless I’m glad to be trending better. Putting a pillow on my knee at night has made a world of difference.

Barb and Steve, keep me posted on Sunday’s ride. I might be able to make that work.

    • Thanks.

I hope to make that same statement about walking one day. Once I start moving I am good (perhaps with the help of ibuprofen), but when I stop there is pain. I have immense pain when I get out of bed or get out of a chair.

      Enjoy your massage.

      • David says:

I had periods this month with pain at that level so I sure hope things shift soon for you. My sleep is sketchy as hell on a good and trying to find the right position for my knees has been an expedition in itself. My dentist office does a blood pressure check and mine was uncharacteristically through the roof. The hygienist said that being in discomfort raises our blood pressure.

        • Interesting.

In bed I am okay until I try to turn, and then the pain is massive. This is reminiscent of the days following my big bicycle accident thirteen years ago, except this time I drive in a car instead of into one.

          • Sally says:

stretch that back out before getting up.

          • I’m trying. I’m also forcing myself to get up and walk and stretch every fifteen minutes or so. I really want to beat this.

Sadly my window for bike riding during this trip has closed, weather and other commitments will now be additional reasons for stopping me.

          • David says:

Oh good lord, I needed that massage today. Jenn had some sage advice, I’ve been moving my body, but not in enough directions. I’m going to try to work more 360 m0tion into my regimine.

Wordle in 3 and had just one letter off in 2- oh so close.

A fairly quiet day yesterday. Should have ridden, but sat on my ass watching BB. Coon ass friend/co-worker Jude’s daughter is a cheerleader for McNeese State. Sadly, Gonzaga had their normal amazing game while her team couldn’t get it together at all. I always like the first round to see who the Cinderella team will be- this year, Oakland at the expense of #3 seed Kentucky.

Kittens got moved to the man cave where they have the other kitties to at least see. A neighbor was looking for kittens, so they might already have a home.

Amazing photo today. And today is the 22nd, not the 23rd.

Wordle in 5 dang it. Started with UPSET. :). 2 mistakes in Connections: yellow, green, purple, blue. Used one hint in Strands.

Luckily I only picked KY to go one game.

Not sure of my week-end plans other than running a 50k trail race that I’m not even close to being trained for and it looks like rain. It’s on DNR land so you have to have permit/license to be on the property. I got a yearly senior hunting/fishing permit for $7.00. Maybe I’ll break out the fishing poles. :). May do Black Sheep on Sunday.

    • Steve says:

You could always ride with us on Sunday.

And you’re “not trained” for a 50k? I find this incredibly hard to believe.

      • Sally says:

My longest run was 13 miles the end of February. I’ll probably do a lot of walking. Might stop at Paradise Gardens on the way over. The rock and junk wonderland of visionary Reverend Howard Finster.

I’ll keep the ride in mind. I missed the last Black Sheep so was hopping to do this one.

  4. Barb says:

    Steve –
pick a parking lot & start time for Sunday – but not too early please

  5. Barb says:

impromptu meet up with Allan at 1130-1145 at Hankook if anyone reading this is in town & wants a Korean taco for lunch.

  6. Weird Florida House issues I’m dealing with currently:
    – neighbor’s lawn service ignored my property line flag, knocked it over, and mowed part of my lawn. My mother fought this for year, ensuring that her plot didn’t shrink because the neighbor kept it tidy.
    – post office now ignoring their own paperwork, including the green card in the mailbox which reads “VACANT PROPERTY” and putting mail in the box. As an added bonus they put some of the other neighbor’s mail into my mailbox.

    Ugh

  7. Wish I had thought of this sooner, just turned some anti-fatigue matting into a makeshift yoga mat. Now I can stretch on a padded surface instead of the hard flooring.

  8. Debbie says:

Wordle in 3 starting with YACHT. Conniptions and a couple hints on Strands.

Bennett and I are in the mountains for our girls trip. Uneventful drive up even though the traffic was stupid. It took us 4.5 hours – an hour longer than those who left in the morning versus my 1:30 departure. Serendipitously, my audio book finished as I pulled into the driveway to the cabin. That made me happy!

Off to do some hiking before the rain moves in. I’ll find a photo op to balance your sea with some mountains.

  9. Barb says:

what the hell is that blue category….. Breaking???
(sorry for the spoiler – if it actually helps anyone, good)

    got green & yellow – then…………………………. FAIL

Wordle in 4. great 4th guess

  10. My buddies Hank and Chip are on their way to Florida. Because they may be coming into the Florida house I have been cleaning all morning. Perhaps I should invite people to the ITP Estate to force me to clean it? Lol

  11. Miraculously AT&T figured out their shit, and my internet at the ITP Estate is working again. I’m still disappointed in them and will consider switching providers when I return.

Now if my body could also do the same…

  12. The suspension for the washing machine at the Florida House is shot so the basket slams around the cavity when it’s rinsing clothes. I considered spending the money to get replacement parts, but considering we are trying to sell the house asap it seems as if I am throwing money away. Plus, the review for the replacement parts aren’t great, so that scared me away too. Apparently this cheap easing machine is notoriously bad.

    • Steve says:

How much laundry are you needing to do? I know you’re there for a while, but really? And be up front with any potential buyer that the washer need some love.

  13. David says:

Joe’s is slammed today. I had to encroach on another patron to find a seat. I absolutely have to get out of the house to get any writing done.

  14. Barb says:

lunch pushed back – Allan is busy at the moment – and I’m hungry!

  15. Steve says:

Sunday morning ride- 10:00 at Rambo trailhead?? Any other ideas?

    • David says:

That’s the exact plan that Barb and I discussed via text. I haven’t committed yet, but 30 miles works, particularly when lunch at The Rails in Rockmart is included. I’m being a little cagey because I have some chainsaw work I need to get done tomorrow that I’ve been procrastinating on, so riding on Sunday will be my reward. I’m hoping to get Lucas to join in as well. I’m leaning more and more toward riding though, so hopefully that’ll help me power through my yard work tomorrow.

  16. Just finished a five mile walk, interrupted once by a two pint brewery stop. My friends won’t arrive before 7pm, so I have time to sober up before I drink again.

  17. Jenka says:

Greetings from the Skyclub in the A concourse of Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport! I felt like an Important Corporate Person because I had to take a 1:15 meeting.

  18. Barb says:

Observations from driving to & from Hankook :

Howell Mill near 75 – what a shit show of a road – try to avoid at all costs

People with FL license plates – do they not understand HOV lane means 2 or more people? I hope they get a ticket. (and -they were going slow – the cars behind them I’m sure were pissed)

Not driving related – Hankook needs bigger tortillas – they fill those tacos up – I had to get a fork! And – Bulgogi is still the best taco, I keep trying others – but they are never as good.
