The baseball game was fun, and the rest of my day was struggling with pain and hanging out with buddies. We went to a new to me brewery in Bradenton called Motorworks Brewing, which is near the stadium in which the Pirates play.

Strands was a struggle for me. I luckily found three incorrect words so that I could be given a hint, which cleared the fog.
Wordle bust. Just couldn’t guess the right middle letter. No mistakes in Connections: yellow, blue, green, purple. I too had to use a hint to get me started on Strands.
Went to Travis’ soccer game last night. Light crowd. It was fun to watch and to hang out with Bob and Laura even though their friends thought I was Laura’s mom. Doh. That hurt. lol
I have the day off but the weather looks crappy for anything outside. Might be a wet sloppy run tonight at Kennesaw tonight.
Good to see you last night Sally! Travis didn’t play a lot but played well when he went in. Amy was pretty embarrassed by that but she often says things before thinking them through, she will be apologizing to us for the next year 🙂

I decided yesterday that if I wanted anything that looked like a back yard, I would have to rake all the leaves off the fence line. I managed about half before I was wore out. This also exposes the hot wire, which will hopefully keep the dogs in.
Todays bit of excitement- I’m heading east on 10th street and waiting at the Spring St. light. 2 cars ahead of me I see a turn signal flashing to turn the wrong way on Spring- I think maybe his signal didn’t reset after he got off the freeway? Nope- turns onto Spring going the wrong way on a one way street!! At that time of the morning, there isn’t much traffic and he was stopped at the curb- maybe he figured it out?

I think they said 7 people were missing. 7 too many but it could have been a lot worse if during rush hour. I still can’t believe how quickly it collapsed. I never did like going over bridges even as a kid.
7 people they KNOW are missing – probably the construction workers. But – how can they know that’s it?
Traffic cameras are the first step. See what vehicles got on the bridge and didn’t get off. And the first guy to stop traffic and not go over the bridge gets a free laundry coupon from the DOT because you know he crapped his shorts.
Like Sal said- really lucky it was so early in the morning. Rush hour really would have been a mass casualty event.
And late word is the ship sent out a mayday and somehow, they were able to close the bridge! Not sure how you close an interstate bridge!

Fellimi’s dinner last night, always good for my soul to catch up with s couple of my favorite people in tbe world. I met both of then during COVID but they feel like life long compadres.

While I am still broken I am fortunate to at least be able to walk. Just finished five miles on a sunny, blustery morning.

Well, it was a great game last night, even if the Celtics lost. At one point in the second quarter the Celtics were up by 30 points! But then the Hawks came back after halftime with new energy and ended up winning by like 4 points. Very exciting!
SO wished I could have stayed in bed this morning. I am very tired and it’s raining.
Don’t you know the NBA is like professional wrestling, it’s all scripted. 😀
