I feel as if I am in the movie Groudhog Day, because I seem to be doing the same thing every day. I am sort of looking forward to returning to Atlanta at week’s end in order to change things up.

Wordle: three, my starter was DRAPE
Connections: one mistake, Purple > Yellow > Blue > Green

    Wordle in 3.

Almost a half inch of rain yesterday and I have not checked the rain gauge this morning.

Debbie found another medical show to watch and as I briefly popped in, I spotted the “IBM Tower”- yep, shot in Atlanta. Sorry, I don’t have the name.

Working a half day, then taking the mizzus to her wazoo-ectamy appointment.

50 minute power workout on the trainer last night.

I bet its The Resident? The hospital is the High Museum

      • Steve says:

Ding Ding Ding… I knew I recognized that shot, but couldn’t remember where. Nice work, Barb.

        • Barb says:

I watched that show – I found it entertaining enough.
and – one day on a walkabout in the city, we saw an “ambulance” and other production stuff.

Wordle in 4 starting with DRIVE. One mistake in Connections: green, yellow, purple, blue. Use a hint in Strands to get me started.

It actually turned out to be a nice evening for a run at the mountain. Trails weren’t as sloppy as I thought they might be. Traffic getting there sucked, however.

we went to Spivey Hall at Clayton State College last night to hear Dr PP sing.
We decided to get some culture. She really is an exceptional vocalist. The classical music was mostly Russian, but some Dutch, German & maybe French. I just listened. Her pianist was really, really great too.

Long drive there in the rain – but took half the time to get home.

  4. Humid day here in Florida. Two miles int a walk, I’ve stopped for coffee. I am not feeling 100%, which is one of the reasons I’m looking forward to returning to my “normal” life and changing things, hopefully for the better.

We had our final walk-through with our designers last night to discuss what went wrong and what went right. It really looks beautiful, I am so pleased with the results. Then we went to Double Zero for dinner. I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned their cauliflower appetizer but it is DELICIOUS. I brought the leftovers in for lunch today.

    • Barb says:

what went wrong? or was it just stuff that got delayed?

Cauliflower – YUCK in any form. I can not even pretend to like it.

      • Clearly it’s not functional, because they go out to eat all the time! I kid! I kid!

I like cauliflower, unfortunately for my waistline I like it best when it’s deep fried.

      • Jenka says:

Nothing went wrong! I mean, they were out of stock of the floor tile I wanted for the bathroom so I had to pick out another tile that I didn’t like as much, but it’s fine. That’s about the extent of it.

      • David says:

I like cauliflower OK, especially when smothered in cheese sauce, but brussell sprouts? Oh hell fucking no.

  6. Jenka says:

I forgot to mention that on Monday I had a serving of that potato and roasted garlic soup that I made a couple months ago. I put a couple servings in the freezer for future use (as I always do) and it was an easy and delicious lunch. I’ll have to make that again!

Wordle in 3, one miss on Connections, puzzled my way through Strands.

I hope that I don’t jinx myself here, but my knee is trending better and better. Putting a pillow between my knees overnight and taking a heavy dose of ibuprofen at bedtime has started working wonders. It took me a while but I finally realized I was inadvertently making my knee worse overnight in my sleep. Giving my knee some support and knocking down the pain has also knocked down the inflammation. For the first time in weeks I’ve had spells today where I wasn’t aware of my knee. Woo hoo!

    • Sally says:

That sounds like progress. Having a pillow between your knees at night also helps with back pain. Keeps better alignment.

  9. Barb says:

Tires rotated on the Subaru at Discount Tire – everyone there is so pleasant – it always throws me off when at a service industry type of place like that.

    • David says:

Isn’t it crazy? They’re always so fast, it feels like NASCAR. I’m sure this comment is making Jenka look down her nose at me, but hey they’re not quite Formula 1 fast. 😉

And fuck that goddamn Mavis Tire to hell. Those fuckers. They bought Kauffman Tire that was my long-time go to and absolutely ruined it.

  10. Two beers with lunch. Florida putting a hurting on my wallet and waistline, but at least I can only blame myself.
